Heather Bailey....Nicey Jane

Heather Bailey's new collection is based on "small-town girl Nicey Jane heads to the city on Friday nights to swing dance with her beau-but not before hanging the laundry to dry and enjoying an afternoon picnic on the farm.  Every weekend should be so sweet".  Don't you just "love" her????

Quilt Market Highlights....

This is a photo of Amy Butler's booth at Market....it was just what we needed to see first thing..her newest collection is called LOVE....and we did love it!!! The colors are fresh...she also has two new sewing patterns available now....the Liverpool..tunic ...and the Sweet Harmony handbag and tote...I love how she incorporates fresh flowers in all the colors....and she teases us with all sorts of new things that are not available in patterns yet...

....these new pillow patterns should be released early in the new year....they look like fun....great combination to use three together...all pictured in the home dec weight fabrics...

And here we are with Amy....she is so cute!!! Amy is wearing a new jacket that will be a pattern soon. The fabric is from her LOVE collection and it is in the Home Dec weight. She also will have a raincoat pattern included.....and the sample in the booth was out of her Oilcloth fabric....we all want one!!! Inspiration....

What are the chances that you are going home for a visit and you find out that the same day you are in Chicago for a concert....(one amazing concert....TR Wizards....)...you find out Renegade Craft Fair is in Wicker Park....YES!!!! So talk about inspiration.....I will have to do a blog on this one  at a later date....It was too cool....and happy birthday Dad!!!

Getting inspired....the last time I visited my favorite store Anthropologie...I found this great journal made from fabrics....it has a VW van stitched on the cover....And it just so happened that we where leaving for a camping trip....and I thought what a great cover that would make for our Travel Guest Journal....so I packed up some of my favorite fabrics from the store....

And here it is.... the start of the cover...I have chosen all kinds of circle fabrics from Amy Butler Moon Dots to Kaffe Fassett Paperweights....I will applique first and then decide how I will quilt ..probably with free motion peace signs....
A work in progress...
Stay Inspired...
